From the President: Help Advance Pathology and Save Lives
As Foundation president, I want you to know how your contribution equips pathologists with education opportunities, grant funding, and innovative programming that bridge health equity and improve outcomes for patients worldwide.
In 2024, your support helped the CAP Foundation provide 85 grants and awards—totaling an incredible $91,400—to pathologists, medical students, and residents. These grants empower the next generation of pathologists, fund critical research, and support innovative tools like this 3D-printed microscope—a low-cost, portable device designed to transform diagnostics in underserved areas like Rwanda.
Your generosity also fuels impactful initiatives like our See Test & Treat program, which offers free cancer screenings and health education to underserved communities across the U.S. Consider Diane Duggan Brooks, a patient from the Cambridge See Test & Treat program. As an undocumented immigrant for nearly 30 years, Diane often relied on urgent care and emergency services for her health care needs. The program provided her with life-saving treatment for breast cancer and access to ongoing primary care and health insurance—a privilege she once thought unattainable. Learn more about her story.
Your support makes these life-changing programs possible. With your gift, we can continue funding vital grants, educational opportunities, and programs that improve patient care and health equity around the world.

Thank you for making a difference in 2024 and beyond. Together, we can achieve even more.
Sincerely,
Bharati S. Jhaveri, MD, FCAP
